ohio ski resortsKnown for spectacular Ohio foliage along the Appalachian Trail in fall and a draw for music fans to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio really starts to rock from November to April with a variety of resorts for great winter fun.

Northeast Ohio is where the real action is for primo skiing and snowboarding starting with its most popular resort at Mad River Mountain.

A great day out for families includes 17 trails for skiers of all abilities plus snow tubing runs and snowboarding areas.

Another popular resort for Cleveland residents is Alpine Valley featuring 11 ski trails, snowtubing and snowboarding including the ultimate Xtreme park featuring Ohio's largest half pipe. After a hard day of fun out on the slopes, head for Alpine Valley's Chalet for a hot cup of cocoa, or for something stronger, to the Lounge with adjoining observation deck.

More winter fun awaits with a double treat of winter fun at Ohio's largest ski resort, Boston Mills/Brandywine, located just north of Akron offering two separate ski and snowboard areas each with a total of 15 ski trails as well as halfpipe, terrain park and snow tubing.
