Beer Batter Shrimp

Ingredients
|
oil for deep frying 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 tablespoon salt 1 (12-ounce) bottle beer 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions:

1. In 10" skillet preheat oil to 365 degrees. 2. In a medium bowl combine flour, corn starch and salt. 3. Make well in middle of dry ingredients and slowly mix in beer until blended. 4. Add shrimp and toss until thoroughly coated. 5. Shake gently to remove excess batter and spoon shrimp into hot oil. 6. Fry for several minutes or until golden brown. 7. Remove shrimp with slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. 8. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
