Whether you get there in a flying car, or by taking the Hogwarts Express train from Platform 9¾, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a castle school that fans of Harry Potter know as well as - or in many cases, better - than their own classrooms.

"Founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age" ... Hogwarts is an institution wherein students are divided into four school houses named after its founders - Godric GRYFFINDOR, Helga HUFFLEPUFF, Rowena RAVENCLAW, and Salazar SLYTHERIN.

Situated somewhere in Scotland (its exact location remains a mystery) Hogwarts is set in a huge Gothic-style compound featuring three high towers, 143 staircases (some that move) a great hall, a library, common rooms and dormitories, seven secret passages in and out of the school, the legendary Chamber of Secrets, and the mysterious Room of Requirement which appears only when someone is in need of it.

With its reputation as one of the best schools of its kind in the world, Hogwarts boasts a faculty of wise and talented professors.

Each specializes in a specific subject, with a core curriculum centered on various branches of magic: Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, and Herbology.

Populated by young wizards, teaching wizards, ghosts and other fantastic creatures, the one thing you can always count on is that there will be adventure mixed with magic lessons and quidditch games...
